Bring your bike on the Mon Incline

Bike Pittsburgh has been consulting with the Port Authority of Allegheny County on bike racks on buses as well as other bike-friendly policies regarding bikes on the T and the inclines. We have just been informed that bicyclists can now bring our bikes on the Mon Incline any time. For more info contact the Port Authority's customer service line 412.442.2000.

Just read in the PG that the Mon Incline is broken down at least thru tomorrow (Thu., Mar 16). Get well soon, Mon Incline!

As if you didn't have enough to do, a good public diplomacy mission might be to get the Duquesne Incline folks to allow bikes. Not part of PAT and a more delicate historic property, but going up one incline and down the other via bikes would be great, esp combined with the riverfront trail along Station Sq.

Great idea re: Duquesne Incline. We're working on it.

Regarding the broken Mon Incline: As of this morning, Monday, March 20th it's open again.

What do these inclines say in their policies about strollers?

Is there a way to advocate for them too?

I know I had a hard time with a running stroler and the PAT buses too. Try to board a bus with a stroller, kid, diaper bag, and then have to fold up the stoller.

Or, if you had two kids -- you're really out of luck.
